Quickstart for admins

Five steps. About 10 minutes. Your first daily report runs ~24h after connecting.

    Sign up + pick a plan
    Pricing · Use the magic-link login. Choose Starter ($29/mo) if you have one group, Pro ($79/mo) for up to 3, Elite ($199/mo) for up to 10.

    Create your workspace
    Name it after your group. The slug is what appears in /u/<username> URLs.

    Add @jointheswarmbot to your group
    Make it an admin with permission to read messages. SWARM doesn't post in your group by default — daily reports go to a separate channel you specify.

    Run /connect in the group
    The bot DMs you a one-time code. Paste it into /onboarding/connect in the dashboard.

    Wait for the first 24h
    Layer 2 classification runs every minute. Daily reports run at the time you set in settings (default 09:00 UTC). Public directory listing requires the group to be verified — flip that on in /groups.

Common questions

Will members see the bot is logging? The bot is added as an admin — members can see it. SWARM has a member-visible /help command and a transparency policy in your group description (we provide template text).

Can members opt out? Yes — members DM /scores off to hide their public profile. Their messages are still classified for your dashboard, but their identity is anonymized externally.

What happens if I exceed my AI budget? Classification pauses until the next UTC day. Your daily report still generates (it's reserved budget). Upgrade to Pro/Elite to raise the cap.
