Buying a token

The core loop: paste a contract address, read what comes back, tap an amount.

The fastest path

Paste a contract address into the chat.That is it. The bot detects the chain, resolves the token, runs its safety checks and replies with a token card. It works in a DM and in any group the bot is in.

Reading the token card

  • Price, market cap, liquidity — thin liquidity means your own exit moves the price against you.
  • Safety verdict — the summary of every check. Expand it before you size up.
  • Top 10 % — how much supply the ten largest wallets hold.
  • Dev holding — what the deployer kept.
  • Called by — which ranked SWARM callers called it and their tier. The part no other bot has, because the ranking comes from resolved on-chain results rather than claims.

The card also carries 📊 Chart ↗ and 📈 Chart ↗ if you want to look before committing.

Placing the buy

The row of amount buttons is your own presets, denominated in the chain's native coin. Tap one and it executes immediately at your saved slippage. Change them under⚙️ Trade settings → 💰 Buy amounts (per chain); they are set per chain so your SOL sizes and ETH sizes are independent.

When a buy is refused

Swarm Sting blocks buys it believes are unsafe — an unsellable token, a honeypot-shaped contract, or no verified route to trade it. The card names the check that failed. That refusal is the bot working, not breaking.

Degen mode

🔥 Degen mode (0 protection) disables the safety checks. It requires an explicit 🔥 I accept the risk — enable confirmation, and it does exactly what the name says: nothing is checked, including whether the token can be sold at all.

Leave Degen mode off unless you can state precisely why you are turning it on for this specific token. It exists for people who have already done the research elsewhere, not as a way past an inconvenient warning.

Buying with USDC

Where USDC mode is enabled the bot can spend USDC instead of the native coin, shown as ⚡ Buying with USDC… while it executes. Useful when you want to hold value in a stable between trades rather than in a volatile gas coin.
